utopia76, from the IMDB boards, posted three days ago saying that her friend had met Rob at a London department store quite recently. Her friend has asked him about Twilight and his response was:
Yeah, I’m really excited about the movie, but I believe I’m being butchered by the fans cause they don’t like me very much.
Rob, we do adore you and are definitely (and genuinely) excited for you! Of course we are not alone as many other fans feel the same way. Remember there are plenty of ways to show your support to Robert such as joining in on our discussion forums and also by joining the ever-growing Live Journal community supportpattz. =)
Thanks to RP.org.
Comments OffSurprise! Well, sort of. =) For the past several days I’ve been working on this new layout. I really hope that you all like it. I think it’s fairly simple to use and navigate around too. Hopefully there won’t be any problems, but if you should come across one (a bad link, 404 errors, et al…) please don’t hesitate to contact us. I’ll still be working on a few other things in the meanwhile (such as updating and revamping the Press section), but overall this will be the major change. Again, I really hope that you find it pretty to look at! =D
Comments OffMichelle was lucky enough to attend the Slamdance Film Festival and view How To Be! Michelle was also kind enough to write up a review for Pattinson Online viewers. If you are interested please read on but be aware that this does contain some spoilers.
This is not your typical Robert Pattinson movie. He doesn’t play a good-looking, heart-throb. Robert plays Art, an insecure, confused, depressed, misfit who has no direction, no real social skills, and no support from his parents. His only love is music, but he sucks at that too. After the break up from his girlfriend, he basically looses it and has to move back in with his parents. This is his struggle to become ‘normal’ so his parents and friends will accept and love him. He even goes to the extreme of hiring a self-help professional to help him. You will feel so sad for Art – trust me!
Don’t get me wrong there is lots of humorous stuff in this film to lighten the subject up. Example: Art’s friend hooks them both up with dates. His friend keeps telling him “don’t be yourself, don’t be yourself”, so the girls will like them. Art just sits there and when his friend asks him to say something to join in, he says, “I have an erection,” and everyone leaves the room creeped out.
A wonderful independent movie with a great message. A job well done for Robert Pattinson.
Also check out more viewer reviews of How To Be at the Slamdance web site. It’s actually received a very impressive 4 and a half stars out of 5!
Many thanks to Michelle again. =)

A slight update on Rob’s other film The Summer House. I was in London recently and was lucky enough to meet the producer Anna MacDonald and tour the school. The movie is still in production and I was told that updates will be given as everything progresses. Talulah Riley (who plays the lead character, Jane) has to come in and do some additional voice over work. Anna said some really wonderful things about Rob as well calling him a fantastic actor as well as a very mellow and laid back person who, despite his talents, remains very down to earth. :)
