Thanks to Roanne, we have a couple of new articles from the UK, that talk about Rob:
Robert Pattinson might have just had his best Christmas ever. He has gone from a small time actor to one of the most in demand young actors of all time in little over a year. Who knows what his New Year’s resolution is going to be for 2009 – after all, it would be hard to top his 2008.
This other one also from MyPark Magazine, talks about his true fans.. you of course!
Twilight actor Robert Pattinson has to try and ignore the hate mail he gets and instead focus on all the positive letters and cards from his true fans.
As soon as he was given the part of Edward Cullen he started to receive a lot of abuse from hardcore Twilight fans.
Robert explained all to the Big Issue: "People sent me hate mail, and the internet was full of messages from Twilight fans who didn’t want me.
"They said I looked like a bum. My mother told me she had read online that I was wretched and ugly and had the face of a gargoyle."
Face of a gargoyle?, quite a transformation then.
Comments OffIt was a crazy Promotional Tour for Twilight, full of screaming fans and near riots. But as you can see in these new pictures, Rob remained cool under pressure, and always had a smile for the fans. Check out all of the photos from his stop in Philadelphia. They are now in our Gallery.

Thanks to Haley, who let us know that Rob has been named one of ‘MuchMusic’s 20 hottest stars of 2008.’
Rob along with co-star Cam Gigandet came in at number 15. The show airs again today on MuchMusic.
And People.com just updated its page dedicated to Rob, with more facts and information:
Move over Zac Efron! British import Robert Pattinson has arrived, and the reaction is Beatles-like. With his signature tousled mop and brooding stare, Hollywood’s newest heartthrob has tongues wagging, mobs stalking, and tweens begging.
It also has a really cool quote about Rob’s music, from Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke:
Robert Pattinson, who plays piano and guitar, has two songs featured in Twilight. "I cried the first time I heard the two songs," director Catherine Hardwicke told MTV. "They’re deep; they’re very soulful."
Comments OffIt’s a soulful song that fits well with the scene it was chosen for. ‘Let Me Sign’ is performed by Rob in Twilight. And now we’re learning more about the song from musician Bobby Long, who in this interview talks about how ’Let Me Sign’, came to be:
“I was doing up to five gigs a week and used to bump into some guys who I got friendly with. One of them was the actor Rob Pattinson.
“We played this song one night and then found out that Rob had recorded it in LA.
“It is funny because we wrote it one night on a roof in London and now it is in a major film.”

A couple of new articles we found talking about Rob. The first one comes from Astrochicks.com, that looks at the real stars for answers on what the future may hold for Rob:
Astrologically, I see a looooooooong Hollywood career for Robert Pattinson. He will continue to grow and develop as an artist. I would love to see him in a period piece, something similar to Romeo and Juliet, or maybe King Arthur.
What about love? I don’t expect our sexy Taurus guy to settle down for at least another five years. For now, he will continue to enjoy his new Hollywood status.
The second comes from TrendHunter.com, that has more to say about Rob’s trendy move, involving his hair:
Buzz About Robert Pattinson’s Short Hair is Just the Beginning
Hair trends are always a sign of cutting edge fashion, which is just one more reason that Robert Pattinson’s short hair is still dominating the search engine charts.

So now that we have some time to catch our breath as the promotion for Twilight winds down, we’re bringing you some extras that are now in our Gallery.
And we also have some new magazine scans to share with you. These ones are from the special edition of Brazilian magazine ‘Capricho’.
Comments OffCanada’s CTV.ca has posted their list of “influential taste makers of 2008.” With the help of celebrity gossiper, Lainey, Twilight and Rob made their list:
Pattinson is even influencing young boys.
“With the explosion of Twilight it’s becoming almost attractive and desired for boys not to wash their hair a la Robert Patterson [sic], ” Lainey said.
She said Patterson [sic] has managed to dethrone High School Musical’s Zac Efron as a teen heartthrob.
Efron, so perfectly coiffed Lainey calls him “lip-gloss,” has been “blown out of the water” by Patterson [sic].
“It’s very interesting to see how someone gets dethroned, it’s fascinating,” said Lainey.
Patterson [sic] will likely reign well into next year with the Twilight sequel already scheduled for release in late-2009.
Note: No matter how influential Rob may be, some in the press still can’t spell his name correctly. Perhaps that is a clue that those in the gossip business don’t often know what they are talking about.

TrendHunter Magazine just named Rob, among the 20 Young Male Hollywood Highlights of 2008:
However, it is Robert Pattinson who is the man of the moment. Ever since the Twilight premier, he’s been a near-constant presence in Yahoo! Buzz’s top 10. He is setting the hearts of millions of teenagers on fire and the blogosphere ablaze.
And of course being a trend magazine, they couldn’t stay away from "THE story", while doing an article about Fashion Trends for Men in the last year:
Robert Pattinson cut his hair off and suddenly it’s the top article of the day…
our fashion for men trend database, now has more than 2054 fashion trends for men (and yes, the database does include Robert Pattinson’s hair cut, the story du jour).
You know that saying about a "story having legs"? this has gotta be the epitome of that.

Thanks to LiveJournal user Twets, we have a translation of Rob’s interview with Polish magazine "Bravo". The staff got to meet him in Los Angeles, and check out how he signed his autograph for them (middle picture).
Bravo: How did your friends react when you got the part?
Robert:I know one hardcore "Twilight" books fan. We’ve known each other for a long time and when I told her that I got the part she was dumbfounded. She said "What??? You…you’ll be Edward?!"
Bravo: How do you cope with it? (attention from fans)
Robert: I can’t understand it! I always looked the same and nobody paid attention to me. I wasn’t the girls favourite, on PE I was always the last one chosen for the team. And now everyone goes crazy even about my hair! When I wanted to get my hair cut, people told me that I couldn’t because it’s my trademark.
We know who won that battle.

Who would have ever thought, that something as simple as a trip to the hair salon, would turn into one of the biggest "buzz" stories, as we head into 2009. But then again, it is Rob we’re talking about. For the second time in as many days, Yahoo! has dedicated part of its main page to Rob, and all the hoopla over his haircut.
"Buzz" cut
This week, Robert Pattinson, or more accurately, Robert Pattinson’s hair, wafted over and settled upon the Buzz big time, as Web devotees of the "Twilight" star clicked away on anything having to do with his new haircut. In trading in his signature unruly locks for a much shorter, untousled do, Pattinson joins the ranks of Elvis Presley and John Edwards as public figures whose haircuts have the power to make people absolutely bonkers. And for those who harbor strong pro or anti new-hair sentiments, please remember: Long tufts or no, he’s still Robert Ever-Lovin’ Pattinson!
That last line says it all. It took a guy to put it all in perspective, Thanks Jon Brooks!, and thanks to Cindy and Michele for letting us know about the article.

When the New York Times writes an article on Rob’s haircut, you know it’s a big deal. But the hype has taken on a global scale, now that the article has been included in its international version called Herald Tribune:
Among fans’ concerns are that Pattinson’s hair will be too short for him to reprise his role when a sequel is to begin filming early next year.
Michele let us know about China Daily’s article that also mentioned the news:
British actor Robert Pattinson recently cut off his signature locks and debuted a boyish new look.
Thanks to our staff member Nancy, we know about this little gadget called Google Trends that basically tracks the popularity of news stories across the web. Check out the spike around December 21st. "The haircut" down to a science. There will be a test on Monday.

Are there any more 2008 lists Rob can be included in? the answer is yes, and we still have 5 more days to go till the end of the year!
Yahoo just named Rob one of the 25 ‘Hottest Hunks in Hollywood’, and he’s also listed as the ‘Top Sexiest Star Under 25′ on Mexico’s entertainment web site Mundo52. This is what they had to say about him (my translation):
Robert Pattinson: the actor who plays Edward Cullen in Twilight gets the number one spot for driving teenagers crazy, after only 5 minutes of seeing him play a vampire. Right now Rob is preparing to participate in New Moon, the second part of the movie version of Stephenie Meyer’s book series, but first we’ll see him portray Salvador Dalí in Little Ashes. The last time he was seen in public, he had a new haircut that makes him look more sexy and mature.
And finally Popsense, just came out with it’s Top 10 Films of 2008, and here’s the reason the writer included Twilight in the mix:
10. Twilight
Plot Summary: Robert Pattinson.
