Help Haiti – Donate & Send Receipts

Our partners at Thinking of Rob would like us to remind you to send them your Haiti Relief Effort donation receipts at ThinkingofRob@hotmail.com. Be sure to block out your personal information before sending them over for the tally. Robfans and Twilight fans combined have raised over $13,000 thus far.

Robfans, Twilight Fans – Help Haiti

Rob fans and Twilight sites have come together yet again for a great cause: Earthquake Relief in Haiti. Spearheaded by our fabulous partners Thinking of Rob, they have organized news, information, and tips on donating to the Red Cross and how you can help on their front page. We have seen first hand what the fandom can do – let’s band together again to make a difference, spread the word, and encourage donations to the Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, or other such relief organizations.

New Job Openings

We have a few job openings listed on our jobs page and a new one listed this week for an “Interactive Assistant”. The Interactive Assistant is responsible for maintaining Pattinson Online Connect by posting interactive material (polls, pictures, etc.) and fostering an interactive experience with fans. They would be working hand in hand with the Admin team and familiarity with Twitter is a plus.

Pattycast iPhone/iTouch App

Finally! We at PO Headquarters have been so very excited about this application! Fans with Apple iPhones and iTouches can now download all Pattycast episodes straight to your device along with much much more! Along with regular Pattycast features, there will also be wallpapers for you device, fan photos, behind the scenes vlogs and photos from the hosts, even more extended outtakes, our recording schedule, a call in number and much much more you can see on our iTunes store page HERE!

The app has just recently been approved, but expect more extras as we work on them through the holiday break!

Exclusive Interview Transcript

Thanks to the amazing Katie, we now have a transcript of our exclusive interview with Rob. You can watch the video and read the transcript below, and don’t forget that Pattinson Online members get an exclusive uncut video!

Janna: Do you find that Edward was more relatable in this movie and that you just knew what you were doing whereas as last time you weren’t really sure?

Rob: Yeah, I mean, I think, definitely. This is the one I always related to –[to someone noisy off-camera] Shutup– yeah this is the one that was always my favorite book that I have. I guess I felt like I knew how to do it before–and also, there’s something about Chris. Chris Weitz has a very calming influence on everybody and it just seemed–I don’t know. It just seemed like having seen the first one, the whole franchise being set up and, yeah, it was kind of–everybody knew what to do with their characters and stuff.

Janna: Well you mentioned that it was your favorite book and it was a little different because they kind of added in your CGI scenes–

[Someone off-camera adjusts the lighting]

Thank you!

Janna: Did you feel like that added to the integrity of the storyline, or?

Rob: What, putting the CGI stuff in?

Janna: Yes, adding the hallucinations of you.

Rob: I mean, I definitely think it would be better than having a voiceover. I mean, I don’t think anyone’s gonna argue with me about saying whether it adds integrity or not, I mean, I think— I definitely think it was a better idea than having a voiceover. I mean, anyone is going to argue about whether it adds to the integrity or not..but I mean… I think.

Janna: It was better with what you had to do?

Rob: Yeah, it’s kind of–yeah. It was always going to be difficult to do that stuff but it’s–yeah. That was one of the hardest things I had to do the whole movie, I had no idea really how to do it, so I was kind of shooting in the wind and…

Janna: Falling on the ground?

Rob: Shooting in the wind is not the expression.

[Laughter]

Janna: Shooting in the wind.

Rob: Shitting in the wind.

[Laughter]

Janna: That sounds a little dirty. Not really sure about that one.

[Laughter]

Rob [laughing]: I was just shitting in the wind.

Rob: Yeah. And–[thinks] Yeah, then I kind of when I watched it I was only–I was just standing on a green box, and it’s like okay, now Bella’s over there and so it’s–and all of my llines are like, “Stop! Wait!” And like, no one really knew what was going on, and so we kind of tried to–

Janna: Easiest job ever!

Rob: I thought that at the time. When I was watching it.

Janna: And then you started promoting and now here we are. One of the things that hasn’t changed from the first movie is Edward’s inner turmoil and struggles, did you play him any differently any time around?

Rob: yeah, I mean, I kind of–I tried to–it was easier because I didn’t have to play all that stuff at school, which I never completely fully legitimized with myself

Janna: Really? School sucks. [Laughs] Yeah, I mean really… school sucks.

Rob: Yeah, But also just the fact that you’re 108 years old, it’s like this way–

Janna: There’s no way… If you’re 108, why would you go back to school?

Rob: And just keep completing the same year? It’s crazy.

Janna: That would be awful.

Rob: I mean, I’d be like a—pirate. Or something.

[Laughter]

Janna: A pirate! There are mixed emotions among fans having different directors for each movie. Do you feel like this kind of hindered you, having to adjust to different visions? Or was it better cuz it added to it?

Rob: Yeah, it definitely keeps you thinking because you’ve gotta fight against someone, like there’s only so much energy someone can quantify against you before it just becomes out animosity, and then it’s not productive anymore. Yeah, or you just accept it. The worst thing is you’re like, “Fine, whatever.” And then you just go and then you’re just dead. They’re like—But I mean, I got on really, really well with Chris–

Janna: Good.

Rob: So it’s like, just from the first day.

Janna: And would you ever consider directing? Since you have so much–

Rob: Yeah–

Janna: –appreciation?

Rob: Yeah, I’d love to. I mean, it’s tough. I still don’t really think–I haven’t very fully understand yet what you have to do as a director–

Janna: –Right.

Rob: I just think like, you can just tell everyone how to do stuff. And I always think I can tell everyone how to do stuff–

[Laughter]

Janna: I have that problem, too.

Rob: But like, yeah.

We have a Friday treat for you all! The editing is finally done and without further ado here is the Pattinson Online exclusive one on one interview with Rob during the New Moon press junket in LA. The time was short, but Rob was fabulous and gave us a fantastic interview. Enjoy!

We will have a transcript of the video by the weekend just in case you missed anything. Like Janna said to Chris Weitz, don’t be intimidated by our video equipment…we left our fuzzy boom mic in our other pants that day!

Summit invited us to the New Moon press junket on Friday, and Janna was lucky enough to speak with him one-on-one. Unfortunately the talk was quite short due to time constraints at the junket, but Rob was unbelievably gracious and gave us a wonderful interview. We were invited by Summit to take part of the Los Angeles New Moon press junket and were given an opportunity to interview Rob for a one on one. We realised that we have been all over Twitter and our Live Pattycast this morning with it – but we had yet to make a front page post regarding this fabulous news! Below are a few teaser stills of the interview – keep in mind the stills are raw footage that’s yet to be cleaned and edited! In celebration of reaching 7,000 followers on our twitter (and in celebration of our interview with Rob!), we’re having a contest!

When Janna spoke with Rob today, he said “he wants to work more with the site and said something about writing Haikus or something to give back.” We love sarcastic Rob, and we love haikus!
