In a recent interview Pierce Brosnan talks about working with Robert Pattinson on the set of “Remember Me” and about Rob’s excellent way of dealing with fame. You can read the interview extract below (mild spoilers):
“Remember Me with Robert Pattinson is a really beautifully written piece about a family coping with the death of one of their boys. I play Robert’s father, and for me it’s about the loss of a son, while from his perspective it’s about the loss of a brother. It’s nothing like Twilight but it packs an emotional punch. I think you’ll see Mr. Pattinson giving a fantastic performance, which will prove he’s really working hard on his acting.”
“We filmed in New York and there always seemed to be a hundreds of screaming teenage girls around and I knew they weren’t screaming for me. I know it’s tough for Robert to cope with that kind of attention. I’ve been there and I sympathize with him, but I think he’s handling it quite well. I think that, so far, he’s got it under control.”
We are pleased to bring you the official press release for Robert Pattinson’s next movie “Bel Ami.” As we have previously reported the casting is now complete and the movie is about to start filming in London and Budapest. You can read the full press release below but please be aware that it may contain mild spoilers.
BelAmiFilm Note: Contrary to popular belief, filming in Budapest does not begin until APRIL. The London filming begins February 7.

Robert Pattinson (Twilight series, Remember Me) plays Georges Duroy in this erotically charged story of ambition, power and seduction. Uma Thurman (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill) is Madeleine, Kristin Scott Thomas (Nowhere Boy, I’ve Loved You So Long) is Virginie, Christina Ricci (Monster, The Ice Storm) is Clotilde, Holly Grainger (Scouting Book for Boys) is Suzanne, Philip Glenister (Life on Mars, Calendar Girls) is Charles, and Colm Meaney (The Damned United, The Snapper) plays Duroy’s adversary, Rousset. The screenplay is written by Rachel Bennette from the novel by Guy de Maupassant, and the film is directed by the influential and innovative Cheek By Jowl directors Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod. Robert Pattinson is continuing his charitable work after recently being part of the “Hope for Haiti” Telethon. It has been announced that Rob will be donating several signed items to help fundraise for a local Hawaiian Montessori school. You can find out more about Rob’s contribution to the fundraising event below.
You’ve gotta hand it to Robert Pattinson for being a charitable guy. It has just been announced that Pattinson (“Edward Cullen” in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and “Tyler” in Remember Me) is pitching in for a local Hawaiian Montessori school fundraising drive by donating autographed posters and a Twilight book for the Montessori Hale O Keiki’s annual fundraising gala, “The Orchid Ball.”
Pattinson’s signed gear will go up for auction at “The Orchid Ball” on February 5th, and it appears that proceeds will go to benefit the local Montessori school program.
Nice guy, huh?
You might remember some of Pattinson’s other charitable contributions of late. Last spring, Pattinson auctioned off a smooch for AMFAR (while promoting Remember Me at Cannes), and only recently, Pattinson presented for George Clooney’s famed “Hope for Haiti” telethon.
Vanity Fair released a list of Hollywood’s Top 40 Moneymakers and Robert Pattinson was placed thirty-fifth with an estimated $18 million in 2009. Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart also made the list in thirty-seventh place with $16 million and Taylor Lautner is predicted to be one of the names on next year’s list. You can check out the full list here.
The magazine interviewed scores of Hollywood insiders, says contributing editor Peter Newcomb, who compiled the list. Although agents, lawyers, studio executives and even the stars themselves provided the deal numbers, calculating the earning power isn’t always an exact science, Newcomb says.
We previously reported that Robert Pattinson will feature in the second installment of the FAME comic book and MTV has now revealed a first look at the cover as well as an exclusive preview of the interior. You can view them both below.
Arriving on shelves in May, the 32-page comic promises to “trace Pattinson’s career from his first performance in Tess of the D’Urbervilles at London’s Barnes Theatre to his star turn in the Twilight movies.”
Thanks to Kim from TwilightMoonlighter for letting us know of an exciting project that she’s been working on: Robert Pattinson will feature in the second installment of Bluewater Productions’ new comic book line, Fame, which will be available for purchase in May. The issue is written by Kim and drawn by Nathaniel Ooten, with the cover created by Juan Mar Studios. You can find out more and view the cover below:
Edit: We have received some additional information about the FAME: Robert Pattinson comic book from Bluewater Productions:
Millions know English actor Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen, the vampire with a conscience in the films Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon, the fantasy/romance movies based on Stephenie Meyer’s famous book series.
But there’s more to Pattinson than fake fangs, faraway looks and tousled hair. Pattinson is an accomplished musician, a former model and an actor who’s played both a wizard at Harry Potter’s Hogwarts School and the artist Salvador Dali. [..]
Rob fans can now vote for their favourite New Moon actor in the iVillage Entertainment Awards. Robert Pattinson is running for “Hottest New Moon Hunk” alongside Peter Facinelli, Kellan Lutz and Taylor Lautner. You can go ahead and vote for Rob here.
Talk about an award to sink your teeth into and howl about! Vampires and werewolves never looked so good as they did in New Moon. Which otherworldly guy reigns supreme in your eyes?
GQ Magazine named Robert Pattinson one of the 25 Most Stylish Men in the World this year. You can read their take on Rob’s style below and you can also vote for Rob here.
“A pair of jeans, a T-shirt, an unbuttoned and untucked plaid shirt…. That’s it. He dresses his age (23); he dresses to his strengths; he dresses so you don’t give a damn about how he’s dressed.”
“Young Rob’s probably got the best head of hair since James Dean, and he lets it do the talking. He also lets it fly: no pompadour, no side part… As far as we can tell, he just runs his hands through it every five minutes.”
