Emily and Barbara, two of our forum moderators, were lucky enough to attend the Hot Topic event in Chicago last week and sent us this great report!
Hey Girls,
Londonfreak1234 here, also known as Emily. WELL we got in!!! and it was amazingly fun. We got there at midnight and there were already a bunch of people there. I have a little rant but it is in complete defense to those of us who were there early and actually got the bracelets. And this is towards those fans who were being rude and i just have to say this to them:
alright i am going to be a little bit mean to those of you who were saying that if you would have known it was going to be sold earlier you would have been there earlier. here let me tell you what happend since i was one of those 500 people who got the chance to meet him ( he is really nice by the way…we talked about space heaters. XD!!! ) [read more]
Thanks to Eleni and Eleonor for sending in their pictures of Rob at the MuchMusic event!
After 20 hours of waiting for a wristband on tuesday, saturday finally arrived and it was AMAZING! They were all sooo sweet, spending as much time as possible signing autographs and taking pictures with their fans. It was all VERY loud and we could barely hear what was being said but it was the most exciting night of my life! Rob is SERIOUSLY even more beautiful in real life and soooo nice.
TwilightNews.co.uk is giving away tickets to the UK press screening of Twilight.
The screening takes place on Sunday 23rd November in central London. That is only two days after the US Release, next weekend! We have 3 pairs of tickets to give away! So 6 Twilighters will be lucky enough to attend. At least one adult (over age 18) will have to be present for each pair of tickets.
Binside TV has posted a video recap of Robert’s appearance at Planet Hollywood on Nov. 4. The majority of the video is interviews with the fans at the event.
Binside TV took a trip to Twilight star Robert Pattinson’s handprint ceremony at Planet Hollywood in New York City. Diehard Twilighter fans screamed for joy to catch glimpse of the the handsome Robert Pattinson who plays Edward Cullen in the hit vampire saga by Stephenie Meyer. Watch for the first video in our Twilight fan series about Edward Cullen and Bella.
Check out all of Pattinson Online’s coverage of the Planet Hollywood event here.
The Twilight movie media blitz has landed Robert a feature article in the New York Times.
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. — There are times when the limitations of the printed word come into focus, like when there is a need to convey how it sounded when Robert Pattinson, who stars as the vampire heartthrob Edward Cullen in the forthcoming movie “Twilight,” stepped onto a riser at the King of Prussia Mall outside Philadelphia on Thursday evening in front of more than 1,000 mostly teenage girls.
In collective pitch, frequency and volume the sound would make a shuttle launching seem demure, a Jack White guitar solo retiring, a jackhammer somehow soothing. To reach into history, it may have approached Beatles-at-Shea-Stadium loud, replete with the weeping, swooning and self-hugging, and only the ambient flutter of cellphone cameras and furious texting by way of modern update.
Blast magazine has a final report about Rob’s appearance at Hot Topic in Boston. The are promising a feature package on Monday:
Blast releases a special TWILIGHT EXTRA issue of the magazine on Monday with photos and video from the event, a longer interview with Robert Pattinson, our movie review, and more!
Alena has an update on the details of her meeting Rob at the Philadelphia Hot Topic and showing him her Twilight tattoo. We posted the video of the encounter, but she informs us that it was edited. She wanted to clarify some information about the encounter:
Ok, so they are reporting that the tattoo is on my neck, but actually it is behind my upper right ear. It is the apple from the Twilight book, and above the apple it says “Lamb” in the font used in all of the books as Edwards handwriting. I’m not sure why they said it was on my neck?..but oh well.
Here is the word for word conversation that was recorded: [read more]
Andrea did a superb job at keeping us informed before and after Rob’s appearance in Toronto. She wraps up her coverage, with this report and pics:
Wow. That was a DAMP experience! It was raining, it was windy, and it was COLD.
I didn’t get super-close to anyone, but I found a great vantage point up high about 20′ feet away and was able to observe everything from the cast’s arrival to the multiple autograph signings.
You keep reading it, and it’s true … Rob is even more attractive in person. And, the Twilight girls were all stunning. It’s obvious that they’re all so grateful for the adulation, if a little taken aback by the noise.
Actually, all of the screaming comes off as completely disrespectful … it’s as though no one is interested in anything Rob actually has to say, they only want a body to scream at. It was quite disappointing from that point of view.
And, Rob looks completely freaked out by it. I don’t know how it came off on TV, but he was hunched over from the screaming quite often … I even got a pic of it.
But, it was very cool to see them live, and I’m glad I braved the elements (for a couple of hours, anyway), and sacrificed my eardrums so that I will be able to say “I saw him when”.
Can NOT wait for the movie to come out!

Remember when? Here is a great private interview with Rob when he was in Mexico City. It seems like so long ago. And to think this was just the BEGINNING of his crazy tour.
Rob is interviewed by Jessie Jordon of the Philadelphia radio station Q102. A brave fan asks him out on a date, he admits he hadn’t washed his hair that day (“plumes of dandruff”), and he receives a lesson on American Holidays. You will enjoy this one. (By the way, I’m impressed by how well Rob actually listens to the interviewers. This one slips up and accidentally states she saw an interview “with his parents.” He picks up on the slip right away despite his understandable exhaustion).
Rob: What is Thanksgiving? Isn’t that when you celebrate beating England?
The interviewer clarifies the difference between Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July.
Rob: On the Fourth Of July we just sacrifice our Americans in England.
Rob: Am I going out with the King of Prussia? (my personal favorite)
Check out this funny video of Rob attempting to introduce Twilight before his Q&A with Seventeen magazine. Who can blame the guy? He must be exhausted from this press tour. It’s amazing he can remember his own name.
Since the MuchMusic site seems overwhelmed by the traffic of fans trying to watch the clips from tonight’s show, I’m gonna start posting the videos. Just know, It’s not in any particular order.
Cara just sent us this report following Rob’s appearance in Toronto:
My name is Cara and I’m a huge fan of the site and rob … obvi. Me and my BFF melissa were down to see him tonight and we stood in the rain for 23 hours waiting to see him. When we saw the limo drive by our hearts stopped as he went by. He was so kind to all his fans and went outside on BOTH stages and inside. He made sure EVERYONE got to see him.
WAY MORE GORGEOUS IN REAL LIFE LADIES !!! DO WHAT IT TAKES TO SEE HIM LIVE <3
