Sarah Gadon Talks About Robert Pattinson in Interview
Starring in upcoming films opposite Robert Pattinson, Naomi Watts and Keira Knightley, Toronto’s Sarah Gadon is on the verge of making a career out of being a performer–a dream she’s been working toward since she was a nine-year-old ballerina playing a lamb in The Nutcracker. In David Cronenberg’s A Dangerous Method, Gadon plays Emma Jung, the long-suffering wife of Michael Fassbender’s Carl Jung.
The collaboration worked so well that Cronenberg cast her as Robert Pattinson’s estranged wife in his upcoming day-in-the-life-of-a-multi-millionaire film Cosmopolis. Casting Gadon was an easy decision, Cronenberg explains. “She’s extraordinarily beautiful, she’s incredibly talented and she’s very funny, playful and intelligent,” he says. She’s also starring with Daniel Craig in Dream House and in the vampire thriller The Moth Diaries. And yet working with Pattinson had a way of distilling Gadon’s 15-year résumé into three words: Robert Pattinson’s wife. It’s a hot topic among Team Edward, though Gadon finds it baffling. “This is a glimpse into what his reality is like every day,” she says. “So if anything it makes me think, “I’m really lucky.” The only reason people are talking about me is because of him.” It won’t be long before the conversation shifts.

Jay Baruchel Talks About Robert Pattinson
FANG: Who do you play in COSMOPOLIS?
BARUCHEL: The thing is incredibly dense and ethereal and mostly it’s just dialogue heavy. It takes place in the early 2000s during a version of the dotcom boom. It follows Robert Pattinson’s character, who’s the CEO of one of these tech companies, and he’s on his way to work and he’s trying to get a haircut and that’s the movie. And 90 percent of it takes place in his limo en route to get a haircut. He has all these different meetings with people he works alongside, and they come in to the limo, he has a long, sort of philosophical conversation with them and they get out, they exchange seats, and I’m the first guy he picks up. I’m the guy who started the company with him, and I’m a young, rich, upwardly mobile tech head. We have a four-page long existential scene about the nature of 20th-century living and then I disappear. It was the most satisfying, interesting, exciting and every adjective in the book. It really, really nourished me. I know I’m a better actor, a better writer and a better person for it.

‘Unbound Captives’ To Film Next Year
Here is news of Robert’s new film, ‘Unbound Captives.’
Hill Country drama
First stop at Sunday night’s soiree, however, was a chat with Madeleine Stowe, star of ABC’s Revenge, an addictive new soapy drama set in the Hamptons. For many years, Stowe was part of our local celebrity scene.
Until recently, The Last of the Mohicans star and her actor-husband, Brian Benben (Private Practice), owned a cattle ranch in the Texas Hill Country, 11 miles outside Fredericksburg. They and daughter May, who was born in San Antonio’s Methodist Hospital, lived there for many years. Stowe said she had enjoyed being away from the bustle of Hollywood and throwing herself into riding, roping and cutting. However, out of practicality, they moved to Los Angeles a couple of years ago. While at the ranch, Stowe came up with the idea to write “a large romantic Western” that was inspired, she said, by stories of the Hill Country in the late 1800s. “I heard about children who were abducted by Comanche Indians and became so acculturated that they had a hard time returning.
“Our ranch had a real history,” she added. “When I lived there, I felt a certain way about Texas that I hadn’t seen filmed yet.”She’ll start directing The Unbound Captives next year, she said, and already has rounded up the main cast: Hugh Jackman, Rachel Weisz and Robert Pattinson.
