Telepoche Magazine has a new interview with Rob promoting Eclipse. He answers some interesting questions concerning his success, being pigeon-holed, and his funniest experience.
The funniest experience?
“It was recently. It happened while I was filming “Water for Elephants” in which my partner is Reese Witherspoon. We had a scene with elephants but there were so many paparazzi around that it was scaring the animals and it was impossible to film. Out of the blue, fans that were waiting for autographs had enough and circled around the paparazzi. Teens made big guys run away. It was unreal! I was pleased.”

Due to the Laker parade on Figueroa Boulevard on June 21st, some streets around L.A. LIVE will be closed from 4:00am – 12:00pm, so please access L.A. LIVE via Olympic Boulevard. If you require parking, we recommend Lot 1, which opens at 5:30 AM and can be accessed from Cherry Street, or any other adjacent lots. Lot W and Lot C are NOT available for fan parking. Security check points around L.A. LIVE on the 21st are designed to only allow TWILIGHT Fans access to the NOKIA Plaza for camping set up. No parade attendees will be permitted on the NOKIA campus; only Twilight fans will be given access.

In an article by Details magazine (the same magazine that published what was probably Rob’s most controversial shoot), Danica Patrick was asked about Rob. Patrick, who is gearing up for this year’s Indy 500, showed off her attention span while looking through Rob’s Details shoot:
Details: I read in Sports Illustrated that you have a crush on Rob Pattinson. What do you think of the photos from his Details cover shoot?
Danica Patrick: Do you have it? [Long pause while she flips through the story] Oh my gosh. He does look pretty good. Holy crap. I didn’t know you could show boobs here.
Details: Are you into Twilight?
Danica Patrick: I’m obsessed. I’ve read them all. They did a good job of casting the movie—I mean, Rob looks the part. At a party in Hollywood last night, MTV News asked attendees about Rob’s birthday. Apparently Rob’s not an easy person to buy for, as Disney star Vanessa Hudgens had this to say: “I met him once or twice. I don’t really know him. I don’t know what he likes. So, I hope he has a good one.”

Win the chance to go behind the scenes and meet A-list celebs on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards awaits one lucky mega fan. Last week, Coca-Cola and MTV launched the nationwide search for one person to get exclusive coverage at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards as the “Movie Awards Insider.”
Time is of the essence, registration goes through midnight EDT on May 17th!
This is not a random drawing. Registrants need to prove their movie knowledge and on-screen personality to enter. They have to make their case in 250 words or less saying why they are worthy of working side-by-side and behind-the-scenes with MTV’s News correspondents.
Once selected, the Movie Award Insider will join the MTV News team in L.A and receive guidance and mentorship on how to capture exclusive behind-the-scenes content- what an amazing opportunity for the winner! The Insider will get to cover the following:
- What’s going on in days leading up to the awards
– Interviews with show nominees, presenters, and MTV talent
– Backstage happenings during artist performance rehearsals

Someone who was lucky enough to attend the Eclipse cast’s taping of Oprah sent in a piece about her experience. When Oprah asked Rob and Kristen about their relationship, Kristen said that Rob is pregnant with their child. Congrats, Rob!

One entire family of Twi-Hards got the surprise of their lives today. The family wrote in to Oprah’s call for Twi-hards, saying that they all loved the series and anyone who didn’t was not allowed to hang out with them. They even staged pictures of themselves as the Cullen family and sent them into the show. Under the pretense of a Skype interview with a “light-sensitive” camera, the family waited by a computer and were oblivious when Oprah’s crew rolled up in their driveway. They had brought Rob to the house! The fan is quoted as having said to Rob, “I told him me and Rosanna [fan and another family member] stalked him in NYC for the Remember Me premiere and he said “Yeah, I think I remember you,” which was an obvious joke.”
When leaving the house Rob reportedly said, “I really want to stay and hang out at this house.” According to the source, Rob went to visited three houses in Naperville, an affluent Chicago suburb.

Today the principle cast of Eclipse taped an episode of Oprah. Much has been flying around Twitter on the subject and even MTV News has covered the story. They say that fans who attended the screening were excited to see them in the flesh. No autographs were signed, but both Rob and Taylor shook hands with the fans. Apparently the conversation included a very wide variety of topics, including Mexican food; one fan is quoted as having said: “Robert, oh Robert. His accent is to die for, listen to him say ‘nachos.’ It’s the greatest.” Supposedly, the fans were going to be allowed a Q&A session with the cast, but much to their disappointment, that did not happen. Fans didn’t seem too fazed by it though, a fan wrote to MTV news: “We waited for the cars to leave [after the show] and my face was basically smacked against Rob Pattinson’s car and it was perfect…Best day of my life!”
