Ann, one of our site reps, sent us her report from Comic-Con! (The lateness is my fault, not hers!)
Let me start out by saying this was not my first Comic-Con experience. This was my fifth Comic-Con (my last one being six years ago) and I can definitely say that this year was a whole new experience. Gone were the days of lazily showing up on the day of the con and buying a pass at the door, strolling around the booths and walking into Q&A panels that were half to three-quarters full. Here is my tale of Comic-Con 2009 and my quest to get a close-up of Rob Pattinson…

Right after Comic-Con I posted the two premiere clips from New Moon although the quality was a little low. Now, thanks to Wolkenengel, we have access to much higher quality clips. As I said before, these are done by a fan during Comic-Con and filled with much screaming; however the audio quality is much better. You may view the Volterra rescue scene here and the Bella and Jacob bike scene here. Enjoy!

MTV has a short video of the New Moon cast before the Comic Con panel. It is interesting to see how the young stars handle themselves prior to facing screaming fangirls and the flashes of cameras. As always, Rob appears relaxed and adorable as he receives playful jabs from co star Taylor Lautner. Click on the link to view the video. MTV Backstage with New Moon at Comic Con

Griselda, one of our amazing representatives at Comic-Con, has sent us her report from the event!
My Comic-con adventure began very early on Thursday. I drove to San Diego from the Inland Empire at 5am, as it is a 2 hour drive. I arrived with my friend at 7:15am to find an already increasing line of hundreds, if not thousands of people forming around Hall H, which is where the New Moon panel would be. Upon arriving, we quickly got into the snake-like line, similar to a popular amusement park ride. There was a seperate line that had formed for the ‘over-night’ people, which would be let in first. In the line you got to see tons of crazy characters from different comic-books and even ones you never heard of.

As avid Twilight fans, some of us consider ourselves experts on everything Twilight, right? Well, believe it or not, there may be some things even the most avid fans do not know–maybe. Rottentomatoes.com has compiled a list of Ten New Moon Facts Revealed at Comic-Con that you may, or may not know. To learn more read the article from their site below.
Having read the books, visited the set, and devoured everything the internet already contained regarding The Twilight Saga: New Moon, you’d think there’d be little left for a Twilight fan to learn. Thankfully, you’d be wrong. As we found while tracking New Moon’s cast and director through last weekend’s Comic-Con appearances, the New Moon publicity machine is chugging as smoothly as Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner’s bare chests — two things which made our list of the Top Ten New Moon Facts Revealed at Comic-Con. (Catch up on our Comic-Con coverage here.) Read on for this week’s installment of New Moon Monday and check back each week for news, interviews, and more to keep your Twilight obsession blazing.
1. Summit Entertainment knows its audience, evidenced by the two scenes they brought to Comic-Con. Whether you’re Team Edward or Team Jacob, there was a shirtless scene for you. Who wanted to see the birthday party scene or the cliff diving scene, when they could get their first peek at Jacob Black hopping valiantly off a bike to strip naked to tend to an almost-drooling Bella? Or watch as Bella raced across Volterra in vain as Edward opened his shirt, stepping into the sunlight? It was such an amazing sight, Bella started running in slow motion.

USA Today has a great Comic Con overview which highlights New Moon and the fame of Rob. Anytime we get to hear about the witty one liners from our favorite actor, we love it!
New level of fame with ‘New Moon’
Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson ought to be used to fame by now. But there’s a big difference between Hollywood fame and Comic-Con fame. He and co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner found that out as they took the stage in front of 6,500 screaming fans to show footage from The Twilight Saga: New Moon, out Nov. 20.
“This year, I have something to say,” he cracked, joking about last year’s Comic-Con, which left him nearly speechless. “It’s much more terrifying.”

SciFi Wire has posted a great article about the overall reactions to New Moon and cast while at San Diego Comic Con. We know that this movie involves deep and dark emotions and the actors needed to find the right way to portray these emotions. Rob was quoted several times in this article, and his reaction to New Moon is quite different from his initial reaction to Twilight.
Pattinson said the increased technical challenges actually made his work easier. “I did very little,” he confessed. He said that most of his work involved standing on a green box while “machines did all the acting, which is what I like.”

Twilight fans, you will be happy to know that we are now able to bring to you the new Twilight Saga: New Moon clips that were shown at Comic-Con on Thursday. This time there is a twist–the clips have subtitles and they are in HD. You can see clip one the motorcycle scene here and the Volturi rescue scene. These are a little better quality than those posted earlier, and the subtitles help tremendously.
