Outside the Twilight world premiere in Los Angeles, there are thousands of fans—they’re on every corner in the middle of Westwood Village—and they are loud.

One of this sites newsposters, Yvette, called in with an initial report from the Twilight premiere in LA. She flew into LA late this morning and got her wristband just in the nick of time. She’s in the “Fan” area of the Red Carpet along with 699 other fans. The fans are broken up in groups of 50 to 100 along the carpet. No sightings of Rob yet, but she’ll keep us up to date as the night goes on and she’ll be attending an after party with some of the other fansite members. Keep checking back for more Red Carpet coverage.
UPDATE: Yvette successfully obtained a Rob Pattinson autograph! She also has photos from the event that she will share later. She confirms other fan reports that photos do not do him justice. She’s on her way to an after party, but we look forward to her report!
UPDATE #2: Fans camped out overnight for a chance to see the cast at the Premiere. According to Yvette’s friend who was there, Catherine Hardwicke (the director) drove by and waved at them. She then returned with a camera and FILMED THE FANS! She spent time talking to some of them and said she plans to put the footage on the DVD!
Blast Magazine posted an interview with Rob about things such as, if the other actors of the movie were upset that they weren’t getting as big of a reception as he was on this tour to going to prom with girls.
BLAST: They have not had the same response that you’ve had. That’s why I was asking. Are they-
RP: Are they what? Are they pissed off? [laughter] Um, I don’t know. I haven’t actually asked them.
BLAST: Are you prepared for the girls out there to be like, “Rob, will you go to prom with me?” because I’ve had a couple say that’s what they’re planning on asking.
RP: When is prom?
BLAST: May? Something?
RP: Well, that’s quite a long way off.

Londonfreak1234 here, also known as Emily. WELL we got in!!! and it was amazingly fun. We got there at midnight and there were already a bunch of people there. I have a little rant but it is in complete defense to those of us who were there early and actually got the bracelets. And this is towards those fans who were being rude and i just have to say this to them:alright i am going to be a little bit mean to those of you who were saying that if you would have known it was going to be sold earlier you would have been there earlier. here let me tell you what happend since i was one of those 500 people who got the chance to meet him ( he is really nice by the way…we talked about space heaters. XD!!! ) [..]

After 20 hours of waiting for a wristband on tuesday, saturday finally arrived and it was AMAZING! They were all sooo sweet, spending as much time as possible signing autographs and taking pictures with their fans. It was all VERY loud and we could barely hear what was being said but it was the most exciting night of my life! Rob is SERIOUSLY even more beautiful in real life and soooo nice.
